The Fayetteville City Council has a short agenda for tonight's city council meeting.
The council will consider an amendment to the city's purchasing ordinance, which are guidelines for administering purchases.
The changes on the table are minor, according to Ellen Wall,s Fayetteville's assistant finance director.
The term "city council" will be changed to "governing body," thereby allowing the Downtown Development Board and the Main Street Tourism Board to utilize the city purchasing manual for its purchasing needs.
The manual sets policies for purchases, regulating what can be authorized by a departement head and what must be let for bids.
Also on the agenda is a report from Comcast. Cable companies are required to make annual reports to their authorizing boards.
The council will also decide on a beer, wine and liquor license for Ravira Fusion Bar & Grill, 750 North Glynn St.
Amended bylaws for The Main Street Tourism Association are on the council's consent agenda, as is are amendments to the Georgia Municipal Association's Deferred Compensation Pland and the 401(a) Defined Contribution Place.
These changes are required by the Internal Revenue Service.
