Malfunctioning light snarls traffic in PTC

As if the Fourth of July didn’t incur enough traffic problems in the city, on July 5 the Peachtree City police department sent out a traffic alert that will make drivers coming through the already bottle-necked Highway 54/74 intersection grind their teeth in additional frustruation as they come up on the Huddleston Road/ Highway 54 intersection.
According to police, the traffic light at that intersection is malfunctioning “to the extent that the entire system needs to be replaced. The light is currently set to manual, which will cause signifcant delays.” The department asked that drivers have patience with the situation until the Georgia Department of Transportation has replaced the system.
