WASA repairs underway

2014-06-02

By Pat Cooper

Ongoing repairs to the city’s sewer system is going to make it tricky to get around some of Peachtree City’s cart paths.
The Peachtree City Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is making improvements to the lift station along the cart path in Interlochen. There will be some temporary closures to the cart path during the initial phase of the construction, followed by a complete closure for two weeks starting in mid-April. Maps will be posted on kiosks at key intersections to provide alternate routes. Please note that this schedule is contingent on the weather and could be adjusted. The proposed work will be conducted Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and should be finished by the end of May.
The work on the sanitary sewer lines located at Meadow Road and Meadow Court and Wynnemeade Parkway should be completed by today, but if they’re not, residents should take note that work was ongoing Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
