DeLane Marketa Groover
DeLane Marketa Groover, 90, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Martin and her son, Charles Everett.  She is survived by her sons, Gregory Mark, Kenneth David and his wife, Venus; granddaughters Ashley Groover Houchins of McDonough, GA and Nicole Groover Francis of Chicago, IL and her grandson, David Gregory Groover of Fort Carson, CO; great-grandchildren, Grayce and Grant Houchins and Ella and Case Francis.
Dee was born in Bertram, Texas to Earnest and Cynthia Spradlin in 1924.  She married Roy during his Air Force career on July 20, 1946 in Travis County, Texas.  Dee’s life was devoted to her husband and her three boys.  She loved being the wife of an Air Force Officer and caring for her children.  They lived in Japan, California and Florida before permanently settling in Georgia.  After Roy passed, Dee began her career in Retail Sales working for Rich’s and J.C. Penney.  When Dee retired, she purchased her home in Fayetteville and lived there until she moved to Christian City Convalescent Center.
The family will receive friends at C. J. Mowell and Son Funeral Home in Fayetteville, GA on Friday, May 2 between 5 and 7 p.m.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 3 at noon at Hollywood Cemetery in Tallapoosa, Georgia.    
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christian City, 7300 Lester Road, Union City, GA  30291.

Barbara Watkins Glass
Barbara Watkins Glass, 81, of Fayetteville, passed away April 28, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband George C. Glass.  She is survived by her son Wayne (Rhonda) Glass of Fayetteville; daughter Beth (James) Chapman of McDonough; grandsons Andrew Chapman of McDonough and Adam Glass of Locust Grove; granddaughter Shannon Turner of Concord; and 4 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 1 at 1 p.m. at Brooks Memorial Cemetery, Brooks, GA.  Reverend Dennis Watson will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.

Harold H. Brown
Harold H. Brown, 87, of Fayetteville, passed away April 26, 2014. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War, and later was a Correctional Officer for Fulton County.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Pam Brown; grandchild Angela Brown; great-grandchild Abigail Williams; parents Hugh & Jewell Brown; sister Evelyn; and brother-in-law Bill.  He is survived by his daughter Jeanne Thompson of Conyers; son David (Susie) Brown of Hartwell; grandchildren Mark VanTassell, Wesley VanTassell, Kimberly Williams, Koty Brown, Kelsey Brown and Chris Mosley; eleven great-grandchildren; and a first cousin Faith Hewett.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 3 at Senoia City Cemetery following visitation.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. to noon at Carl J. Mowell and Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
The family requests no flowers and asks that donations be made to Egleston Children’s Hospital, 1405 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30322-1062.

Herbert Spencer Rasnake, Jr.
Herbert Spencer Rasnake, Jr., 70, of Senoia, passed away April 25, 2014. Born July 23, 1943 to the late Herbert and Alice Rasnake in Atlanta where he grew up. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1961 and later from Atlanta Law School. He retired after 33 years of service with Railroad Publication Services. He was also a faithful member of Flat Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. As an avid
sports fan, he had a passion for the Atlanta Braves and was an umpire with the Atlanta Umpires Association for 17 years.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy Chapman Rasnake of Senoia; son Michael Keith Rasnake of Sharpsburg; daughter Deborah Lee Rasnake of Newnan; granddaughters Kayla and Lynsey Rasnake; sisters Alice (Larry) Wenger, Annette Harris and Beverly (William) Gwynn; brother Donald (Debbie) Rasnake; mother-in-law Mary Bocchio and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Flat Creek
Baptist Church. Dr. Jerry Cross will officiate. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial
Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Flat Creek Baptist
Church or the American Diabetes Association.

James A. “Jim” Chancellor
James A. “Jim” Chancellor, 56, of Jonesboro, passed away April 28, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his father Ottis R. Chancellor. He is survived by his mother Ernestine Chancellor of Jonesboro; sister Lynne Hatcher of Ormond Beach, FL; sister Sue (Jerry) Leatherman of Fayetteville; brother Robert “ Bobby” (Susan) Chancellor of Fayetteville; brother Mike Chancellor of Jonesboro; also nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Reverend Glenn Stringham will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
