Peachtree City Police report they have identified the man they allege is responsible for thefts from clients at the World Gym earlier in the month. According to police, on April 9, 2014 between 5 and 7 p.m., two victims had their wallets stolen from their lockers at the World Gym located at 680 Lexington Circle, Peachtree City, GA 30269.
The suspect used both victim’s credit cards within minutes of the thefts at the Newnan Chevron ($9.75) on Hampton Way in Newnan and at the Best Buy ($2,818.25) located in Newnan Crossing.
The picture of the suspect was placed on the department’s Facebook page and on Twitter. As a result of sharing the picture through social media and news outlets, the suspect was positively identified by a person out of state. It is believed that the suspect is a corporate Chef who travels to different states for various functions which puts him in a position to visit local gyms and commit these crimes.
