Armed robber strikes Fayetteville CVS

Fayetteville police are searching for the armed man who robbed the Fayetteville CVS on Glynn Street in an early morning raid.
According to Lieutenant Mike Whitlow, at approximately 7:40 a.m. a black male, between 25 and 30 years old, entered the store, brandishing a black hand gun.
He struck one of the employees in the head with the gun then demanded cash from the store safe. The man then fled the store with approximately $1400.00 in cash and both of the employee’s cell phones. Fayetteville Police and Fayette County Deputies searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
Surveillance photos show the man was wearing blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt with red sleeves and trim, a shite sock hat and old-style canvas tennis shoes.
Fayetteville Police and Fayette County Deputies searched the area but did not locate the suspect. The employee who was struck during the incident was treated at the scene by EMS personnel.
Police believe the suspect may have had a female accomplice and are also investigating the possibility that the suspect has robbed other metro area CVS stores. Anyone with information about this suspect is encouraged to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at (770) 461-4441.
