Faye Davis, 78, of Fayetteville, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 5, 2013 after a lengthy struggle with cancer.
Faye was a loving and devoted wife and mother who knew no stranger and enjoyed the company of everyone she met.
She was predeceased by her husband Eugene Davis.
She is survived by daughter Melinda Keisling and granddaughters Anna and Gracie of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; niece Mary Joan Turner (Jimmy) of Greenwood, S.C.; and many dear friends who faithfully supported her through the years, and especially during her illness.
She was an active member of McDonough Road Baptist Church until her health declined. Faye retired from the State of Georgia where she worked at the State Capitol and Twin Towers as a receptionist/information specialist, offering a friendly smile and a helping hand to everyone she encountered.
Services were conducted by Dr. David Smith at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth, GA at 2:00 p.m.
