Fayette County’s STAR students and teachers honored

The STAR students for Fayette County have been announced and were honored last Thursday night at dinner held at Fayetteville's City Cafe.
Each of Fayette's five high schools had a representative, the student from each school that scored the highest SAT score while also being in the top 10 percent of their class based on grade point average.
Each STAR student also chose their STAR teacher. At Thursday's dinner, the STAR students spoke about why they chose their STAR teachers, and each teacher spoke about the privilege of teaching such bright, engaged students.
