Judy Padgett Carter, 71, of Fayetteville, passed away on January 24, 2013 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was a loving, caring, wife, mother and grandmother, whose family was her top priority. She was a lifelong resident of Fayette County, and a longtime member of Lisbon Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theriol “T.W.” and Geraldine Bernhard Padgett.
Judy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard Carter; daughter Kelly Wilson of Fayetteville; grandson Tyler Wilson of Fayetteville.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Lisbon Baptist Church. Pastor Danny Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow at Lisbon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell and Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
Those who prefer may make memorial donations in Judy’s honor to the Lisbon Baptist Church Building Fund.
