Drop Dead Diva dropped

2013-01-23

By Pat Cooper

Peachtree City may have to rename a road now that the Lifetime Network has announced the final days of “Drop Dead Diva,” the television show about a dead model trapped in the body of a plus-size lawyer. The show just finished its fourth year finale this past September.
The charming comedy/drama has been filmed in Peachtree City and Senoia for the past four years and, in 2010, the city named the road where the show is filmed off Dividend Drive “Diva Drive.”
While fans of the show are hoping Sony Pictures TV is successful in shopping the show to another outlet, Peachtree City coffers may be a tad lower when the members of the production company, many of whom have lived in the city during the production periods, leave for other pastures.
