Chamber honors best and brightest in local business

Last week at the Wyndham in Peachtree City, local business and civic leaders gathered as the Fayette Chamber of Commerce awarded its annual Small Business of the Year Award.
Every year the Chamber has a strong list of candidates around Fayette County to choose from. This year there were six Fayette small businesses nominated: AAA Restoration Company; CMIT Solutions; Hollowell Financial Group; The Harbin Agency; Lagniappe Deauxnuts and Coffee; Selective Designs.
Doug Bates with CMIT solutions proudly took home the award. CMIT Solutions of Fayette/Coweta offers small business IT support and services.
Mark Gray from State Farm Insurance was honored as the Outstanding Business Person of the Year.
Ambassador of the Year went to Rick Barnes, of Minuteman Press in Peachtree City.
The Chet Wells Award Winner was Greg Detwiler with Georgia Power Company.
The Young Professional of the Year went to Madeline Dobbs, with Serenity Hospice Care.
