Sometimes it seems there is never a dull moment in the life of a football coach. Luckily for one man, McIntosh's head football coach Lee Belknap was alert and ready.
Rccently, Belknap and his wife were having lunch at the Italian Oven in Peachtree City when a man dining with his two young children started choking at a nearby table. Belknap performed the Heimlich until his airway was clear. In a show of gratitude, the man paid for their lunch.
Belknap was modest about his efforts, saying only: "You would hope that anybody would do that. It happens everyday."
"He acted very decisively and heroically in my opinion," said Brandon Thompson, a manager at the Italian Oven. "It was a good thing he was there."
