Police seek suspect in QuickTrip robbery

The Fayette County Sheriff’s office asking for help in identifying a man who
held a clerk at gunpoint on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, when deputies responded to a robbery at the QuickTrip at 1846 Highway 85 north in Fayetteville they were told that at approximately 12:30 a.m. a man came into the store and demanded cash from the clerk. The suspect pointed a pistol at the clerk.
The suspect is described as a black male with a grey beard, estimated to be approximately 5’8” and weighing approximately 210 pounds. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black jacket and blue jeans.
After taking the cash he left the store and drove away in a small blue passenger car.
