Augustus Eugene McPhaul, 76, of Fayetteville, passed away November 13, 2012. He graduated in 1954 from Dothan High School. He also attended Auburn University and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He went on to work at Eckerd’s, Super X, Gibson Greetings and retired from American Greeting Cards in 2000.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Trudy McPhaul; son Richard (Meghan) McPhaul; daughter Judith McPhaul and Debra Lodrick; seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sister Caroline Brown and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Fayetteville. Pastor Knox Herndon will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
