Mr. John W. Scarborough, age 52 of Jonesboro, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Southern Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Scarborough was born March 13, 1960 to the late Joseph Mabry and Grace Roper Scarborough. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and a member of the National Rifle Association and Safari Club International.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Scarborough.
Survivors include his granddaughter, Gracie Gilmore of Jackson; brothers & sisters, Lynn & Kenneth Owens of McDonough, Joe Scarborough of Fayetteville and Donna Witte & John Templeman of Jonesboro; step-son, John Tanttari and step-grandchildren, Dylan and Taylor Tanttari. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. John W. Scarborough will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Jackson City Cemetery. Friends visited the family on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
