The Fayette County Elections Office is holding advance voting through Friday, Nov. 2. Sara Harp Minter Elementary School will host a 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on Nov. 3. The race is part of the Elementary Grand Prix Series and is sponsored by The Rotary Club and The Peachtree City Running Club. Dementia Caregiver Support Group - The Sixty Plus Program at Piedmont Fayette Hospital offers a monthly support group for the caregivers of older adults with memory loss. Designed to be both informational and supportive, the group will provide a confidential and welcoming atmosphere for family members and friends who want to learn more about dementia. The emotional, medical, legal and financial aspects of this condition will be discussed at meetings. The group is facilitated by a licensed social worker and is open to anyone in the community. Co-sponsored by Sixty Plus Older Adult Services and the Alzheimer’s Association.
