PTC police arrest man on theft charges

A six-pack of beer resulted in the arrest of a Peachtree City man.
According to police, on Oct. 10 officers responded to a reported shoplifting at the Kedron Shell Station on Georgian Park.
The complainant told officers that a white male in his early 20s came into the store and shoplifted a six-pack of beer. On October 11th, officers responded to Vendella Circle in Peachtree City on a report of a motor vehicle theft.
During the course of the investigation into these two incidents, a Christopher Kevin Cudd of Clifton Lane, Peachtree City was identified as a suspect.
Investigation showed that Cudd had been arrested later in the evening of October 11th, in Troup County, driving the same reported stolen vehicle for traffic charges resulting from an accident and DUI. He was placed under arrest for these incidents and charged with Theft by Taking (Motor Vehicle), Driving on a Revoked/Suspended License, and Theft by Shoplifting.
