Peachtree City police say that a well-known actor in a popular cable television series was picked up over the weekend and charged with drunk driving.
According to reports, at around 2 a.m. early Sunday morning, August 18, police stopped a Chrysler PT Cruiser that a 911 caller had reported was driving erratically on Highway 74. The driver, actor Scott Wilson of AMC’s television series “The Walking Dead” said he was driving his sister’s car from Senoia’s Founder’s Restaurant.
The arresting officer’s report said Wilson admitted to drinking scotch and wine at a restaurant and that he was swaying during the field sobriety test. He said Wilson said his “spine was out of joint due to his role in a television series” and asked to do yoga poses instead of the sobriety test.
A Breathalyzer allegedly put his blood alcohol leve at 0.143.
“He then stated that if I was going to bust him that I should, because he doesn’t care,” the officer said.
Wilson was charged with Driving Under the Influence and Failure to Maintain Lane.
